This Week’s Message…
Embracing the New
Are the disciples ready? Are you ready? The gospel this week focuses on Jesus’ proposal to to a new thing. He introduces a new way of seeing God and being God’s followers. At the center of this new way is love. Are we ready to embrace a new way? Come explore this question and more this Sunday.

A Prayer for New Beginnings…
Help us leave behind the bitterness and pain of former things. Replace the old and broken ways of our hearts and restore us with your grace and strength. Fill us with new blessings, joy and peace. Help renew our hearts so that we can be ready for a new beginning.
Vocation…You and Gloria Dei
What is your vocation? What is Gloria Dei’s vocation?
““Vocation” is distorted by two disastrous misunderstandings: a secularized idea of “career” and a monastic concept of the religious life. Both are less than the biblical idea of vocation, of which Jesus’ raising Lazarus is a rich image. Vocation is about being raised from the dead, made alive to the reality that we do not merely exist, but are “called forth” to a divine purpose.” ~ A. J. Conyers
Gloria Dei has been selected to go on an adventure this year called “The Nourishing Vocation Project.” St. Olaf College has received a Lilly Grant for a cohort of churches to live through a process of discovering its unique calling (vocation) that God has gifted to us.
More info will be coming soon about this exciting project.
