When I’m sick, hold my hand. When I’m worried, hold my hand. You could make a long list of things to go with this phrase couldn’t you?
We’re wired for connection. We are relational beings. We see Jesus demonstrating that in this brief encounter with Simon’s mother-in-law who is sick. He takes her hand and raises her up. This shows the tender nature of Jesus and the tender nature of God. We have a God who wants to be close to us so that we know we are not alone.
If Jesus were to take you by the hand, what would you tell him you need? Jesus is there for us when we are hurting, sick or alone. Hear a word of hope as Pastor Tom explores what it means for God to hold our hand on YouTube and Spotify.
