Do you allow yourself to be seen? All of you? Flaws and all? It can be hard to allow this. Sometimes we don’t want to be seen because we want to hide our flaws. Maybe we’re afraid that someone won’t love us if they see who we really love us. But we have an intimate, loving God who sees us.
In this week’s gospel reading we see a story about Nathanael first meeting Jesus. Nathanael didn’t think anything good come come out of Nazareth where Jesus is from. But when he sees Jesus, Nathanael realizes that Jesus already knows him even though they haven’t met in person.
This is the nature of God. We have an intimate, loving God who sees us as we are and loves us regardless of where we have been in our life, the mistakes we’ve made, our flaws and all our gifts.
What if we all embraced being seen and allowing ourselves to be worthy of love? It would be life changing and we would experience more join. Join me in exploring this further on YouTube and Spotify.
